I've had chronic back problems for the last 9 years. I get an episode of pain and reduced mobility about 1-2 times per year, and I've been been going to a chiropractor for treatment for years. This current episode started in November, and by January it became the worst it's ever been. I've been in a bed or a reclined chair for nearly a month, had to take off work, seen a neurosurgeon and pain specialist, had epidural steroid injections, generally having a really crappy time. Anyway, my Gran Turismo seat thankfully reclines and offers lumbar support so I could "drive" no matter how medicated I was.
I've had a lot of improvement in the past several days. Today I drove the kids to school in the station wagon, and by Monday I plan on returning to work. It's going to be really nice being back in a real car again, and my Miata has waited faithfully in the garage the whole time.
Thanks, Oppo, for just being there and chatting incessantly about all the car stuff the whole time. You're good folks.

Thanks, but I kind of like that my 41-year old back requires no emissions controls.

You deserve it, as do all Oppo's. We all have to deal with some type of hardship. Yours is a larger hardship and you have dealt with it well. Congratulations, sir.

If Karma was enforced, I should be totally crippled or dead as retribution for some of the mindless and inconsiderate things I have done when much younger. That is why I go out of my way to help now.

I understand my cars 37 and its very nice not having to worry about emissions .. when it runs ..
